What is an Internet Address? An IP address (or Internet Protocol address) aka Internet Address is, in fact, a unique address that devices, such as computers, use in order to identify and talk to each other on a computer network, by using the Internet Protocol standard. An easy way to think about this is your zip code and address at your house. Your Internet Address is your Address on the Internet. People can send you letters or packets to your particular Internet Address. |
